I have over 21 years of experience. I have been a full-time/part-time night & day doula, professional nanny. I have worked with several high profile professional families in the Bay Area and L.A. I can provide excellent references. I am an engaged, nurturing, and structured caretaker. I love to play interactive games with children, take them to the parks and activities. I also enjoy taking children on nature walks and being out doors. My philosophy for taking care of infants includes love and consistency & Learning Through Play.
The key component to Learning Through Play is the active engagement between the nanny and the child. This engagement is crucial for two reasons; first, because it guides the learning of the child, and second, because it ensures the safety of the child. When a nanny is actively engaged with a child, her eyes always on the child and she is guiding the child from one activity to another. A child's life is greatly influenced through the act of playing. The child has the opportunity to learn about themselves and make sense of the world around them. Learning through play helps the child develop social skills, motor skills (physical coordination), language growth, problem-solving skills and self-confidence.
I have experience with triplets, twins, singletons. I am available Monday- Friday. I take care of the children laundry & light housekeeping all related to the children, as well as drive carpool and/or complete errands while keeping your children happy, healthy, and entertained. I am a proud member of the International Nanny Association, Certified Postpartum doula.
I am CPR & First Aid, Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Emergency Foster Mother For Contra Costa County and Alameda County Children & Family Services, A mother of three wonderful children 20, 19, 16, 8 years old, full-time in school. My clients are always so happy to know that I too am a mother; I share your concerns and worries. I also understand the fear and guilt that often accompanies leaving your child with a caregiver. My personal goal is to ensure that you are happy and comfortable with me as your professional nanny/doula.
"As a first time mother with absolutely no experience, the "Super Bay Area Nanny was the best welcome home gift that I could ask for! Super Nanny stayed for the first 3weeks days after my baby girl was born to teach me all of the basics from how to change (my first) diapers to how and why to swaddle my newborn." Sharon B.
